Funghi Portobello con Pollo • the huge portobello mushroom had a crisped edge and was deliciously moist and tender on the inside. I don’t have anything to compare this with cuz I’ve never eaten such a dish, but it’s really well done. (at Peperoni Pizzeria, Frankel Avenue)

It’s not often that I meet someone whom I’m so in sync with, and with whom I share the same beliefs. Thanks for constantly being here for the past three years. We never have to make some great declaration of our friendship to each other; I just know that at the end of the day, I can always count on you to have my back, and vice versa. Thanks for always making my problems your problems, and giving me genuine and honest advice without even trying. We never have to be extra careful with our words around each other, because we are so comfortable that we know that no matter what is said, it comes from a place that means well, and we always have each other’s best interests.
You never judge me when I share with you my secrets; you just listen and allow me to cry. Or laugh. Or whine. Or all three. You’ve taught me so much about issues like feminism and migrant workers’ rights and introduced me to great books and artists. Through you, I’ve learnt a lot about myself. And what’s a friendship if it doesn’t do that, right? We may have met each other in a shitty place, but you’ve made my life a little less shitty for the past three years, and for that I’ll always be grateful for that shitty place.
Please know that whatever shituation we find ourselves in, I will always have your back. Just like how I know you’ll always be around to entertain my stupid y*** f*** crush. 💞💞💞 Hahahaha.
